About Dan
Hailing from Columbus, Ohio, Dan Buckley has been shooting stunning images across the globe since 2009 —from fashion capitals NYC, LA, Paris, and London to the scenic landscapes of Egypt, New Zealand, Alaska, and Mexico. Dan’s lens has captured the magic of many iconic locations, including the Great Pyramids, the Eiffel Tower, the Paris Catacombs, the Tower of London, and even the enigmatic Stonehenge.
His work has appeared in (614) Magazine, The Columbus Dispatch, Columbus Monthly, and numerous other publications. He has also lent his expertise as a still photographer on several film sets.
Driven by his passion for visual storytelling, Dan inevitably transitioned into cinematography. He has shot local and international commercials for clients including the renowned Columbus Symphony and UFC legend Matt Brown, and has been the director of photography for short films in Ohio and NYC.
Dan’s diverse production background extends beyond the camera lens. He has worked on popular shows like Restaurant: Impossible, Death Row Stories, and Big Rig Bounty Hunters. He served as talent assistant to Kelly Clarkson on the Emmy award-winning docu-reality series Who Do You Think You Are? and was a casting assistant for the Oscar-winning film Captain Phillips.
